Reiki

Reiki is an ancient natural healing energy, which was reintroduced in the early 1900s by a Japanese man called Mikao Usui. It was brought to the western world in the late 1940s and has become extremely popular as a complementary therapy due to its versatility.

A simple, non intrusive technique which was used initially for personal self development, but is now used extensively in many healthcare environments. . Reiki is a gentle, safe, but very powerful energy, which can be used with confidence alongside other treatments. It does not replace conventional medicine, but can be used safely with it.

What Happens During A Treatment?

Reiki is given to the receiver who either sits in a chair, or is lying down on a couch. The practitioner places their hands gently on, or over, the body, which activates the Reiki energy. There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki energy passes easily through all materials.

Reiki has been found to be deeply relaxing and has a calming effect, which some have found to be very beneficial in helping to relieve stress.

Who Can Have Reiki

Babies, children, adults and even animals have all experienced the benefit of Reiki. There are no known contra indications to Reiki and it can be used safely on anyone.
